PBG (Building Approval) replaces the former IMB (Building Permit) under the latest regulations. It is a mandatory document issued by the government that grants permission to construct, renovate, maintain, or modify a building according to the approved plan.
The main functions of PBG include: ensuring the legality of building construction, verifying that buildings meet safety, comfort, health, and usability standards, and documenting approved building plans.
Meanwhile, the Function-Worthy Certificate (SLF) is issued by the local or central government to confirm that a building is safe and suitable for use before it becomes operational.
